Funtimes gets messy!! Our messy play sessions are designed for our under 5’s FunTimers to do just that! Get Messy! Our messy play sessions have been designed by a team of Early years experts to give your children the opportunities to develop and expand their sensory Input. Our Early year’s qualified staff use their knowledge to link the activities to the early year’s foundation stage by doing this you as parents/carers can see what skills your children are developing. It’s just not Fun and Giggles! We take messy play seriously!
Fun Times Gets Messy

Year Olds
Each session is an hour of exploring, splashing, squeezing,
sploshing and mark making with a theme that runs throughout all
the messy play stations.
Through our sessions babies and Toddlers explore different materials and textures
hitting all the areas of the Early Years Foundation stage:

Messy Play
FunTimes gets messy sessions! provide plenty of
opportunities to take part in free and creative play
which in turn helps children to develop Maths,
language skills, mark making, explore cause and
effect, develop cognitive skills, creative skills and
sparking the imagination. The little ones just don’t
realise how much they are learning, they just play
and have fun!! It is the best for early child
development!
And after all the hard work of playing, having all that fun and memory-making you get to leave us with all the clearing up!!
For peace of mind, our FunTimes Leaders hold a childcare qualification, first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding training. You know you will be in good hands.
Fun Times Gets Messy
Messy play – Is just
that – MESSY!!
Your little FunTimers will need a complete change of clothes. We suggest you bring an old vest or
babygrow for them to play in. You will get messy too, a change of top and trousers is a good idea. The
best messy play is when you get involved too! A top tip is to wear water or jelly shoes (like you get at
the seaside) for both you and the little ones.

The messy play activities are set up ready for you. You move around the room with your child. You are
responsible for supervising your child. Each station has a printed information poster telling you what
ingredients that is in each tray and how it links to the Early year’s Foundation stage. It is your
responsibility to check the ingredients and decide whether you would like your child to participate.
It is with our experience and training we carefully choose activities to ensure we have wet, dry, sticky,
Colour, and plain to provide a balanced and varied session.
Most of all it’s about having fun! Get Stuck in! Get Messy! Then leave the Mess!
We are trained in play
It can be overwhelming for some little ones and common for some babies and toddlers to be hesitant, but we are on hand to help. It’s what we are trained to do after all!

We open our doors 5 minutes before the session to start to allow us time to set up and ensure the materials are fresh and not sitting out for any length of time.
